Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss born in California has an affluent family background. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon, and later the owner of Lakers as well as other companies. In 1972, her parents split in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally abandoned. At the age of 19, she took over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. She later set up an organization called the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was president of the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice President of the Lakers. Buss was the inheritor of the Lakers from her father in 2013. Five siblings of hers inherited it through a family estate trust. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles, an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
